Re: Are IITs and NITs are the same? Dear candidate. Nothing different between IIT and NIT. but mostly students prefer IIT first and then NIT. As far as infrastructure consider IIT infrastructure is better than NIT. Good luck for your nice future! |

The placements of IITS are fabulous. NIT mans NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ARE ALSO KNOWN AS THE TOP COLLEGES IN INDIA FOR B.TECH. Some NITS such as WARANGAL,TRICHY etc. are better than new IITS such as IIT JODHPUR,IIT BHUBNESHWAR,IIT PUNJAB.. |

However NITs are next level technology institutes converted from best regional engineering colleges. Therefore IITs are originally national level institutes and NIT are regional level institutes converted in national level. However regarding education level in both the institutes, it can beat any international institute. Both are well known for their quality education... IIT's place high compared to NIT's |

IIT's and NIT's are not at all same, as IIT ->stands for Indian institute of technology managed by central government and admission occur based upon all India IIT rank. In fact IIT's are ranked 3rd in best technical institute in world. wheras NIT-> National institute of technology managed by state government.. and admission occur based upon AIEEE exam. ->@$H1$H |

Re: Are IITs and NITs are the same? No, both of the institutes are not the same. IIT is actually Indian Institute of Technology. NIT is an abbreviation for National Institute of Technology. As per the rankings IIT rank higher than the NIT institutes. You need to select the institute based on the course. For both you need to clear the entrance exam and also the interview round. |
