As per your queries i would like to suggest that firstly you should know your weak areas and strong areas.
if you are good at science, math then you should go for mechanical stream and if you keen interested in the programming side you can opt for computer science stream.
As there is equal importance of the both the stream its all depend upon you how you can take your subjects seriously and with your interest .
so it is advisable that you should opt as per your interest inspite of their forecasting consequences.
There is very much scope of computer as well as mechanical engineering .

I suggest you to go for mechanical engg. if you are interested because it is a evergreen branch after your engineering you can apply for jobs at top companies like SAIL,TATA,IOCL,BHEL,HP,BP,etc which are PUBLIC SECTOR UNITS .your salary package will be high....

Both could be a good choice. If you perform really well, you can get good jobs in both. But,where Computer engineering offers better salary, but has lesser job opportunities than mechanical.

Also mechanical has more of govt. jobs, whereas computers mostly has private jobs.

The selection is yours...

Thank you!!!!!0

i think mechanical engineering is for diplomo because for computer engineering you are having most of the non engineering courses in diploma so less preference is given to it and even if you want to do engineering after diploma you cannot do it by taking computer science courses so mechanical stream is much more better anyway ot is aslo based on your interest

Mechanical engineering and computer engineering both are good and popular branch of engineering. As you want to choose from this two branch then I will suggest you to choose mechanical engineering if you are interested on it. Mechanical engineering is evergreen branch. There is always good scope and opportunity where as computer engineering depends on the market situation.

If you are doing B.Tech then there are some good scope from computer engineering but diploma in computer engineering does not have so much scope. TCS, CTS etc reputed company recruited few of the diploma in computer engineering candidates comparably there are lots of company those recruit diploma in mechanical engineering candidates.

If after completion of diploma in mechanical engineering you go for B.Tech in mechanical engineering then also there is good scope and opportunities. There are some company recruits diploma in mechanical engineering candidates are L&T, Hindustan Petroleum, Hwkins and many more.

In government sector job opportunity for mechanical engineering is very high. So many PSUs recruit diploma in mechanical engineering every year like BHEL, BEL, Indian OIL, NTPC, SAIL, DRDO and many more. If you are very good in technical then you will get placed in government sector. Comparable from computer engineering there are very less job opportunity in government sector. I think from all aspects mechanical engineering is good for diploma study.

Best wishes.
