Eligibility Criteria to appear in SSC Exam to become Income Tax Officer
1.The candidate should be complete graduation from a recognised university.
2.Final year candidates can also be eligible.
3.You must be a citizen of india.
4.The age limits is 18 years to 27 years and 3 years upper age relaxation for the OBC candidates and 5 years upper age relaxation for the OBC candidates,10 years upper age relaxation for the Physically handicaped candidates.

Syllabus to SSC(Staff Selection Commission) exam for Income tax officer:
1.General Intelligence & Reasoning
2.General Awareness
3.Quantitative Aptitude
4.English Comprehension
5.Statistics

You can go for the Income tax officer after your graduation Degree.You have to give SSC CGL entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for this exam is to have a bachelor degree in any stream.

Of course you can go for the Income tax officer. For this you have to appear in the Staff service commission combined graduate level exam.SSC conducts this exam.This exam completes in the following three stages:-

Tier 1
Tier 2
Interview.

One has to clear all the above stages successfully for being an ITO.

The basic eligibility criteria for this exam is to have a bachelor degree in any stream from a recognised university with good percentile.

Also the appearing aspirant's age must lie in between 21 year to 27 year.There is age relaxation by 3 years for Obc category students.It is by 5 years for Sc/St category students.

Income Tax Officer post is reputed post.

- For Officers of Group-A level post you have to take UPSC exam.

- All graduate are eligible for this post.

- Age limit: 21-30 years.

- Age for OBC: 21-33 years.

- Age for SC/ST: 21-35 years.

For Income Tax Inspector you have to take SSC CGL exam.

- Eligibility is same: any stream graduation.

- Age limit some different: below 27 years.

- For OBC: below 30 years.

- For SC/ST: Below 32 years.

Selection process:

1. Tier-1 exam.

2. Tier-T exam.

3. Personal interview.

Syllabus for written exam:-
General awareness,
General english,
General intelligence,
Numerical aptitude.

Definitely you can go for the ITO.For this you have to give SSC CGL examination which is conducted by the staff service commission.The Eligibility criteria for this exam is to have a bachelor degree in any stream with age lie between 20 year to 28 year.
