Re: Can I register for CA CPT if I am 11th standard student? No you can't appear for the December attempt. I too had the same doubt and got it cleared on www.charteredclub.com by a CA. To attempt the exam you must have appeared or passed +2 exam. |

Re: Can I register for CA CPT if I am 11th standard student? Common Proficiency Test also known as CA CPT is the entry level exam which is conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India to give students admission for the Chartered Accountancy course. Any candidate who has completed 10th can register for the Common Proficiency Test. However he/she can only appear for Test after completing 12th standard. Therefore yes you can register now but would be able to appear a year later after completing 12th. The Common Proficiency Test is conducted twice a year. Firstly in June and second time in December. Those interested in appearing for exam in June should register by April 1 while those who want to appear in December should register by October 1 on the same year. There are four exams in the Common Proficiency Test that are divided into two sections: 1. Fundamentals of Accountancy 2. Economics 3. Mercantile Law 4. Quantitative Aptitude You will require to score to score at least 30 percent marks in each section and your total score of both sections combined should be 50 percent in order to pass the Common Proficiency Test and get admission for the IPCC. IPCC is the second stage of Chartered Accountancy Course. You can either pass the Common Proficiency Test to get admission for IPCC or get direct admission if you meet the following educational requirement. 1. B.Com degree with 55 percent marks. 2. Graduation degree in any other stream with 60 percent marks. There would be sevel papers in the IPCC. Group 1 1. Accounting 2. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication 3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management 4. Taxation Group 2 5. Advanced Accounting 6. Auditing and Assurance 7. Information Technology and Strategic Management The third and final stage of Chartered Accountacy course is Final Course. There are total of 8 papers in Final Course. Group 1 1. Financial Reporting 2. Strategic Financial Management 3. Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics 4. Corporate and Allied Laws Group 2 5. Advanced Management Accounting 6. Information System control and Audit 7. Direct Tax Laws 8. Indirect Tax Laws |

Re: Can I register for CA CPT if I am 11th standard student? Yes, you can register for CA CPT while doing 11th class. But, you can attend CA CPT exam after finishing 12th class studies. You can register for the same by logging in to ICAI website. As this is a foundation test, you need to study subject like basic accounting, mercantile laws, economics, English and quantitative aptitude. It is essential to qualify CPT so as to do further two levels. |
