If you are interested in doing this course please do it through regular mode. The Bar Council of India is pretty strict on correspondence degree. It does not recognize any such degree.

Since Bar Council does not recognize the degree, you are not allowed to register with any local bar council to practice as the lawyer. In simple words, candidates with correspondence degree can not practice in a Indian court as a lawyer.

Therefore I will strictly recommend completing LLB through regular mode. Below is the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility

1. You should have at least a graduation degree in any field.

2. Bachelor degree with no less than 45 percent marks.

3. SC/ST need 40 percent marks to get admission for LLB.

4. The age limit is 30 years to apply for this course.

5. However for SC/ST the age limit is 35 years.

6. There is no relaxation in marks or age for OBC candidates.

Is there any age relaxation rules (for non SC/ST) admission to a Bar Council approved LLB school in India?
How about if you attend a regular or distance (combination of online and residential attendance) school in the UK or USA?
Thanks for your input.
