Hello,

Age is not a factor when it comes to learning. All you need is the passion to pursue it. 25 years of age is not at all a big deal. There are a number of places where you can opt for MS in USA. Popular among them are-

1.University of Dayton(MS in Chemistry) Dayton ,USA
2.La Roche College(MS in Information Systems) Pittsburgh, USA
3.University of Kentucky(MS in Mechanical Engineering)
4.Bowling Green State University(MS in Computer Science)
5.University of North Carolina(MS in Computer Science)

You will need IELTS score of 6.5 along with GRE scores. While some of them provide scholarships, while some of them dont. Pls clarify these details before you apply.

Re: MS in US at the age of 25 years?

Not at all.It is definitely not late for you to do MS from US at all.
Actually most of the people do MS from foreign countries at this age only probably after 1 or 2 years of job experience because of the requirements of the college or the course decided or set by the university.
So I would tell you to just focus on the exams you will have to give and nothing else.

Re: MS in US at the age of 25 years?

the guy who says age limit is 22 for MS is really ignorant.... he should take a reality check and then come for replying to such posts.

To answer the question, 25 is pretty perfect age for doing MS. In fact many of my friends are doing MS at 27-28 and doing good..its is pretty normal.... People do job for 4-5 years and then think of doing MS. It is always not possible to figure out right at the beginning as to what should u do. If u choose a path which interests you then age is never a factor. Please go ahead.

Dear friend.

You can go ahead with your plans to do MS in USA because, the study prospectus there are completely different. Its not like India which is based on age limit.

Don't think that you are not eligible and quickly start up with your processing.

All the Best!

Re: MS in US at the age of 25 years?

I am 32 years of age and am considering doing an MS to further my qualification. By background I am an engineer however from last 5 years I am a Project Manager for a relatively large company providing IT outsourcing services. My gut says to do an MBA however the costs are too high and the risk for a better job is apparent. Please advice.

Re: MS in US at the age of 25 years?

Literally anybody can do higher education (by higher education I mean Masters and the Ph.D) or what is known as "the graduate studies" in the US. Most universities say that they need 16 years of education to become eligible for graduate studies. So, anyone with 10+2+ a four year degree or a three year degree + diploma or a post graduation are eligible to go to the US.

However, as I mentioned, The US universities are known for their flexibility.

So, if you can convince the academic panel that you have it in you what it takes for someone to do the Masters or a Ph.D, they will be only glad to accept you. I personally know over 25 students who went to US after 15 years of education. While 16 years is straight forward, you need to put in a bit more work to go after 15 years (i.e. 10+2+ a three year degree).Age is not a factor.

All the best.

Re: MS in US at the age of 25 years?

dear friend,
for doing MS in USA your age does not count.it is your qualification that will matter a lot.if you are engineer then MS is most recommended PG programme.you can do it by taking GRE and TOEFL exam as conducted by the organisations. If you score good marks in it then you will be eligible for doing MS from the university (depending upon how much you score in it).
this is the procedure for it.
Best of luck
