Re: What is the eligibility to join Indian Army? Indian Army can be joined basically through two ways:- NDA and CDS and there is no percentage of marks Criteria for application to NDA and CDS. The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Halth. |

HELLO,  Friend,You can join the Indian Army by cracking one of the following examination: 1.NDA Examination 2.CDS Examination AGE LIMIT : * For NDA Exam, age should be 16.5-19 years * For CDS Exam age should be 19-24 years. ( AGE RELAXATION GIVEN TO OBC,SC/ST CATEGORY ) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION : For NDA Exam, 60 percent in 10+2 level or its equivalent required For CDS Exam, 60 percent in graduation or its equivalent required. OTHER REQUIREMENTS ARE : Minimum height required is 158 cm. No criminal record is required from candidate. For NDA Exam, male candidates are eligible For CDS Exam, both male & female candidates are eligible. Candidate must be fit in physical and medical level with no bodily disability. WISHING YOU A BRIGHT FUTURE!!! |

Indian Army can be joined broadly through NDA(National Defence Academy) after 12th and through CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year after Graduation. There is absolutely no percentage of marks required in any level of education for application to NDA and CDS. The eligible candidate wishing to join Indian Army of NDA, must be an Indian unmarried Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health. The eligible candidate wishing to join Indian Army of CDS, must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 24 years with good Physical Fitness. What is the eligibility to join Indian Army? I have a doubt, if a person is eligible on the basis of education but his marks in 12th are below 60% and in graduation are low around 60% so can he be selected in ssb.I don't think they will select him as they want high scorers.Please reply. |
