Re: Will there be section wise cut off in SSC Graduate Level exam 2016?

Hello Friend..

SSC CGL is conducted every year by SSC (Staff Selection Commission) in which lakhs of candidates fill the form and give the exam every year..

From the examination pattern point of view there is not any sectional cut off in CGL pre as well as in not in CGL mains..

Your marks is the total score.. it doesnot depend in which subject you obtain more..

So start preparing and try to solve more question in those sections in which you feel comfort..

All the best for your preparation...

No, there is no such sectional wise cutoff is there for SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination like Banking Related Exams. Only Banking Related Examinations do have Sectional cutoff and candidates are required to reach that particular sections cutoff mark in order to be eligible for next rounds of selection process. So, you do no need to worry about Sectional Wise Cutoff marks in Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination. Remember, there WILL NOT BE SUCH SECTIONAL CUTOFF CRITERIA even in the SSC Combined Graduate Level Examination 2016. So strengthen your Strong Areas first and do not neglect your weaker sections. But try to score as much as you can in the strongest area only. Several sections of CGL Tier 1 Exam are General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, General English and General Intelligence (Reasoning).

# Staff Selection Commission holds Combined Graduate Level Examination every year in order to meet the existing vacant posts in various department and ministries of Central Government.

# Candidate are short listed on the basis of marks obtained in the Tier-I (Objective Type Test) which is sub-divided into following sections:

* Quantitative Aptitude (total 50 questions carrying total 50 marks)
* General English (total 50 questions carrying total 50 marks)
* Reasoning Ability (total 50 questions carrying total 50 marks)
* General Science (total 50 questions carrying total 50 marks)

# Every year Staff Selection Commission (SSC) made it clear in the advertisement notice that SSC has the discretion to fix the minimum qualifying marks in each section separately for every category separately.

# But in last few years, the Staff Selection Commission has taken only the Combined Cut-Off while preparing the selection list or merit list rather than Section Wise Cut-Off.

# It is advised to candidate be well prepared for the examination. It is better to score as high marks as possible. More the marks obtained more the chances of getting selection in the examination.

# Always try to score as high marks as possible so as not to look at cut off.

SSC CGL is the Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate level examination. The examination pattern of SSC CGL is:

Tier I.

Tier II.

Personal interview.

Tier I is of two hundred marks consisting of 200 questions from:

~~General Intelligence and Reasoning.

~~Aptitude.

~~English.

~~General awareness.

No, there is no sectional cut off marks in SSC CGL, SSC releases an overall cut off marks combining all four sections, candidates scoring above that are eligible for Tier II.
