Re: Can Polytechnic diploma holder give the entrance exam for IIT JEE? The answer to your 1st question is yes. A diploma holder can get into IIT JEE. But the answer to your other question is no. You cannot get a direct 2nd year admission in IIT. To get into IIT you will have to give the entrance exam for diploma students for admission to IIT JEE. It is a different exam then the one conducted for students who have passed out straight from 12th. |

Polytechnic diploma holder cannot give the entrance exam for IIT-JEE. the students who have completed their intermediate in the branch MPC are eligible for the IIT-JEE exam. If a diploma holder wanted to join in the IIT'S then he/she should complete their BE/B.Tech in the recognised university and then apply for the GATE examination then they will be eligible for studying in IIT'S. Those candidates who have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics with above 50% marks are eligible for IIT-JEE exam. 5% marks relaxation is provided for SC/ST category candidates. Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years. |
