Age Bar

As per the March 27, 2015 Supreme Court order, there is no upper age limit for applying and appearing in CLAT. Earlier, the upper age limit was 20 years. Therefore with no age bar, any one irrespective of the age can apply for CLAT 2016

CLAT stands for the Common Law Admission test. It is the entrance exam conducted by the National law University for admission in Bachelor's degree in law.

Eligibility criteria:

The minimum percentage of marks to appear in the CLAT exam is 45% in 10+2 for general and OBC category candidates and for SC/ST candidates, it is only 40%.

The upper age limit for candidates of general and OBC candidates is 20 years and for SC/ST candidates it is 22 years, so you can only apply for the exam in 2016 if you belong to SC/ST category otherwise not.
