Re: How can I join a job in income tax department? I am a 12th computer science student In order to become a Income tax officer you must be a graduate. Being a 12th completed candidate you cannot become a income tax officer.
In order to become Income tax officer you must write SSC exam. SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission. >>You must be a citizen of India, Nepal or Bhutan and as per govt. rules. >>Your age must be in 18-27 years. >>You must have completed graduation from a recognized university. >>The required height for men is 165cms, women is 150cms. Chest should be minimum 76cms(only for men) fully expanded. >>The final year candidates or graduates whose results are not announced are not eligible. The selection is through 1. Written exam 2. Physical test 3. Interview The total marks of all the test is 700 marks. The salary of the income tax officer is 6,500 - 10,500 rupees. |

I am a 12th computer science student Yes.You are eligible to apply for Income Tax Department for various posts as you have completed bachelor degree in computer science. Income Tax Department Posts - Group C - Income Tax Inspector - Tax Assistant - Notice Server - AO/PS Cadre - TA/Steno/Driver Eligibility Education Qualification You must have bachelor degree in any discipline from recognized university. Age Limit Your Age must be between 18 to 27 years.Relaxation Applicable as per rules. Selection - Preliminary Exam - Main Exam - Interview - Assistant/Clerical Level post candidates need to qualify the Computer Proficiency Test also. - Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Exam will eligible to appear for Main Exam.After qualifying the Main Exam , You can appear Interview & Clearing it successfully , You will be appointed in Income Tax Department. Paper Pattern - Quantitative Aptitude : 100 Questions (200 Marks) , Duration : 2 Hours - English Language : 100 Questions (200 Marks) , 2 Hours - Interview will carry 100 Marks. |

To become a income tax officer exam, you should qualify in SSC CGL exam. So if you once completed SSC CGL Tier I and II and interview exam then you are eligible for Income Tax Officer. Minimum qualification required to apply for this examination is completing a degree course from a recognized Institution. Your age should be in between 21 to 27 years. Age relaxation- Upper age relaxation for OBC is upto 3 years. For SC/ ST , it is upto 5 years. For PWD it is upto 10 years. |
