A candidate must be graduated from any discipline. A candidate must have minimum 21 years of age and maximum 30 years of age. A candidate must be an Indian citizen. |

Re: Am I apply to apply for IBPS SO IT Officer 2016? IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel. Eligibility to appear for IBPS SO IT officer are -Candidate must have technical degree at graduation level from a recognized university. -Candidate must be a citizen of India. -Candidate must be of minimum 20 years and maximum 30 years on 1st Nov of the year of examination. -Candidate must have 4 year B.Tech degree in IT/Computer Science/Computer Application/Electronics/Electronics and Communication -Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for person with disability is also applicable. If you fulfill all the above mentioned eligibility criteria then you can appear for IBPS SO IT examination. Also a good news for IBPS candidate that interview is removed from selection process by the Indian Government. So, final selection will be made on the basis of written examination. |

IBPS conducts the Common Recruitment Process (CWE) for the recruitment of Specialist Officers. The eligibility needed for the SO IT officer post consists of certain criteria's such as:
-> Nationality standard states that candidate should have a citizenship in India. -> Age limit needed is 20-30 years and this is for general category candidates, there are relaxation for SC/ST as for them it is 20-35 years, for OBC it is 20-33 years and persons with disability gets 20-40 years. -> The educational qualification needed for IT officer post is candidate should have completed an engineering/technology degree in Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunications/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation or completed a PG in the above mentioned departments. You have mentioned having completed B.tech in Electronics and communication which makes you eligible regarding the educational qualification. But you need to satisfy other eligibility criteria for SO Officer. You have eligibility for SO( IT Officer ). IBPS SO examination is conducted by IBPS for the recruitment of Specialist officer at different posts for around 20 nationalized banks of India. --> For appearing in the same examination for becoming an IT officer you need to have the qualifications given here under :- * You must have the nationality of India. * Your age must be within 20 years to 35 years if you are a general candidate otherwise age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per the government norms. * You must have at least completed your bachelor of engineering / technology degree course ( with either Electrical and communication engineering or Information technology ) from a recognized university along with two years of work experience in the same field. Now as you have the completed electrical and communication engineering 3 years course after completing 3 years diploma in engineering course so you are eligible for appearing in the same examination on the basis of your educational qualification as your degree course is equivalent to four year B.E./B.Tech course after two years higher secondary school degree. But you have initially done diploma in engineering. Thereafter you go for degree level course in engineering through lateral entry scheme. # Now you have complete B.Tech degree. You are eligible for IBPS SO exam even if you have done bachelor's degree in ECE after diploma because the four years degree is for those candidates who enrolled in engineering course after passing 10+2 from a recognized board. Am I apply to apply for IBPS SO IT Officer 2016? HI , I had completed 3 year diploma in Electronics and communication. And then completed my B.tech in electronics and communication in 3 years , and my question is am i eligible to apply for IBPS SO IT Officer 2016 , as the notification says a 4 year degree in Engineering, please clarify. |
