Re: What will TCS ask Mechanical Engineers during technical interview? if you are a mechanical engineer then please don't join TCS for the love of God!!!! if you did not get a proper job at the end of your four years then try off campus opportunities or prepare for exams lie GATE or IES. Better be frustrated being unemployed than joining an organisation where you would have to lock away all the knowledge that you had acquired in the 4 prime years of your life..... yours sincerely, a mechanical engineer in TCS |

Re: What will TCS ask Mechanical Engineers during technical interview? Dear friend, Never think that for TCS interview you should study C,JAVA DATA STRUCTURE or CSE subjects. Please prepare your Mechanical subjects very well.They will ask you whether you are strong or not in your area. But you should prepare some languages as well. |

Dear friend, Being a student of Mechanical you can easily clear the interview of TCS if you prepare yourself in the following fields: 1. A decent communication skill is a must. 2. You should have a clear concepts in programming(at least in C). 3. You should have a very good knowledge in the subjects from your departmental background like- (a) Strength of Material (b) Theory of Machines (c) Fluid Mechanics etc. At least you should mention 2 subjects from your department in which you will be able to answer their questions. WHAT QUESTIONS WILL BE ASKED FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERS IN TCS PLACEMENT - TECHNICAL INTERVIEW ??? As you know TCS is one of the software giant companies which is based on Computers and Software... So as a Mechanical Engineer the things which they will expect from you in technical interview is as follows... -> Interest to learn things which are based on software field.. and to explore in it... -> Very basic of some computer languages like C which you must had the subject in your 1st year... -> Good communication skill and technical knowledge.... -> And if the interviewer knows something about mechanical then for sure you will get some questions based on your core subjects too..  -> I have attached some of the model questions which might be asked from C language in this post for your reference.. just go through it once.. -> I have also attached a e-book which might help you for your interview preparation....
