Re: Is it possible to get admission in B.Tech 5th semester through JELET 2016? JELET is the lateral Entry test for getting admission in engineering colleges in West Bengal. Diploma holders are eligible to apply for this exam. On the basis of marks and rank in this exam, diploma candidates get admission directly in third semester of bachelor's degree in engineering. You can not get direct admission in fifth semester of B.Tech through JELET. Notification for this exam is out in May every year. |

Re: Is it possible to get admission in B.Tech 5th semester through JELET 2016? No, it is not possible to get admission in 5th semester of B.Tech through JELET examination. JELET stands for Joint Entrance Exam for Lateral Entry and it conducted for admission of candidates in 2nd year of b.tech courses( 3rd semester). The examination is conducted in month of July every year and application form are available from June. |

There is no special provision for admission in 5th semester through JELET 2016. A diploma holder can only get admission in second year only through this exam and there is no chance of direct admission in third year. |

Through this exam candidates get admission directly in second year of engineering. So, you can not get direct admission in fifth semester, you will get admission in third semester of bachelor's degree in technology. Syllabus has nothing to do with this. |
