I completed my BSC IT from Kuvempu University karnataka in 2010. Dear Biplab Kumar, Your application form for admission into MSc. Cyber Security Programme at OSOU has been rejected due to the following reason: "Degree obtained from Kuvempu University through distance education outside state jurisdiction is invalid" Please send your Bank Account details to refund your admission fee. Thanking You Odisha State Open University Sambalpur, Odisha anyone can help me on this query as it is approved by UGC how they reject this ?? |

IT through Distance Learning Mode dear friend,  Eligibility criteria for MCA 1) Nationality :- You must have to be an Indian. 2) Educational Qualification :- 1.>You should have a graduation Degree from a recognized University taking Computer in back round. 2.>Academic marks depend Upon the College.If you want to take admission in a good college you should maintain a good academic marks. 3.)Age Eligibility:- Your age should be minimum 21 years. |

I think you got confused because you have done your B.sc (IT) through distance mode, but there is nothing to worry. However, NIMCET has little restriction that apart from having MAthematics as a main subject in +2 candidate must have also obtained there bachelor such that they must have opted for anyone of the following as there MAin subject in Bachelor dergee and also have scored at least 60% aggregate. Mathematics,Statistics,Business Mathematics,Discrete Mathematics,Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science,Business Statistics,Computational Mathematics, Elementary Mathematics,Elementary Statistics. SYMBOSIS and IGNOU are two institutes which provide distance learning education. So you can try for these. IGNOU is govt. and Symbosis is Private. |

The minimum % required differs from university to university . But for MCA math is compulsary in 10 + 2. There are many universities which givs admission in MCA through distance learning. for example Manipal university. Do not worry take admission and complete MCA, withgood knowledge. |

You can still expect good jobs without switching to MCA. However, if you still want to peraue MCA then you can do so as Sikkim Manipal University(SMU) offers Distance MCA for which there is a huge list of Criterias (MCA Eligibility Criterias), but yeah you are eligible for it. You can complete your MCA in minimum 3 years and maximum 7 years. But better to complete in 3 years. Eligibility as follows:-

NICET is having criteria that the candidate should have mathematics in their +2 or degree course. the candidate should undergo subjects related to mathematics, like elementary statistics, elementary mathematics, business statistics etc instead of mathematics in their degree course. the scholar should also score 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA in each of their +2 and degree examinations. Since you have both the conditions satisfied, you can apply for MCA of NIMCET. AIMCET is not having such hardcore conditions. |
