english paper : the cbse class 10 communicative english paper carries 100 marks and the time duration is 3 hours. the paper is divided in 4 sections. section a is reading, section b is Writing, Section c is grammar and Section d is literature. section A carries 20 marks. in this section there are two passages (unseen) with several questions including 4 marks for word skills such as word formation and word meanings. The first passage carries 8 marks while the other one carries 12 marks. section b is writing and carries 30 marks. the first question will be on writing skill (notice, message, postcard or telegram). The next question is composition based on some verbal stimulus and the last question of this section will be composition on some visual stimulus. section c is grammar carrying 20 marks. question numbers 7 to 11 are there in this section and questions are based on grammar prescribed by the curriculum. section d is literature and carries 30 marks. question numbers 12 to 17 are there in this section. These questions are based on poems, drama and prose from the prescribed reader.
