General Awareness is playing a key role in scoring well in less time not only in IGNOU OPENMAT Exam but also in all competitive exams. The reason being, just by having a glance over the question, one can find the answer for the questions if the candidate is having strong preparation in this area. The best source to be updated yourself with all the aspects of General Awareness is NEWS Papers. Read daily news papers and business news papers along with Magazines like Pratiyogita Darpan, Competition Success Review. Read them regularly so that you can update your knowledge everyday. In General Awareness, you will be asked questions from the following categories. -National Affairs -International Affairs -Bilateral Affairs -Books and Authors -Sports -Persons in News -Places in News etc. The most important thing that is required while preparing for General Awareness is you should be able to remember it for a long time. Hence, always discuss the things with your friends or other people who are preparing for competitive exams. Due to this, you will not forget the things and in addition to that, you may get new points which you have not studied. Rather than watching sports and movie channels, just watch News channels so that it would benefit you for your preparation for General Awareness. For Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude, you can use R.S.Agarwal Publications which will cover all the models of all the topics.
