Yes.You can apply for NET after completion of M.A. in Psychology.

Eligibility for NET
- Candidate must have passed master's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with atleast 55%.Ph.D candidates get 5% relaxation.
- Candidates who have cleared NET for JRF or SET will get exemption from NET.
- Age Limit : 28 years for JRF and No age limit for Lecturership.

Application Procedure
- Visit the site : www.cbsenet.nic.in
- Register online
- Fill the application form
- Upload the photograph & signature
- Pay the application fees
- Submit the application

Exam Pattern
Paper I
- 50 questions have to be attempted from total 60 questions.
- Total Marks : 100
Paper II
- Total 50 compulsory questions from a selected subject by candidate.
- Total Marks : 100
Paper III
- Total 50 compulsory questions from a selected subject by candidate.
- Total Marks : 100

Important Dates
- Starts of Application : 01/11/2015
- Ends of Application : 01/12/2015
- NET Exam : 27/12/2015

Yes definitely you can apply for NET exam.NET stands for National Eligibility Test .It is conducts for the post of Teaching & Lecturership also.

There is no specific age limit for lecturership,but for JRF exam maximum age limit is 28 years.

Relaxation may be provided as per government rules & conditions to reserved categories.

Exam Pattern:-Written exam -Paper I,Paper II & Paper III

There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.UGC NET cut off are as follows.
Paper I -For general category-40%
For OBC category - 35%
For SC category - 35%

Paper II - For General Category- 40%
For OBC Category - 35%
For SC category - 35%

Paper III- For General Category-50%
For OBC category -40%
For SC category -40%

The minimum eligibility criteria as far as educational qualification is concerned is that the icandidate applying needs to have a post graduate degree in any discipline of their choice from a recognized university. IGNOU is a recognized university. It is UGC recognized and also by AICTE.

NET Eligibility Criteria:-
  • To sit for this exam you need to have a post graduate degree in any discipline from a reputed university.
  • You need to have at least 55% of marks at post grad level.
  • SC/ST category candidates needs to have 50% of marks.
  • Final year post grad students can also apply for this exam.
Age Criteria:-

For JRF: 19-28 years.
There is 5 years age relaxation for the SC/ST/OBC, Physically handicapped/Visually handicapped and female applicants.

For Lectureship: There is no upper age limit.

I am a ignou M A psychology student. Can I apply for net axam.? I am a b sc chemistry graduate.But my PG is psychology at ignou.please give the guidance
