Re: How to apply for UPSC SCRA 2016? When is the last date of application? SCRA stands for Special Class Railway Apprentice and the same examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year. The eligibility criteria for appearing in the same examination are as following :- * You must have the nationality of India. * Your age must lie within 17 years to 21 years. * You must have either completed or must be in the final year of your higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as your main subjects or any other equivalent degree course with at least 45% aggregate from a recognized institute. As per the UPSC 2016 examination calendar, the last date for applying for the same examination has passed and was 30th October 2015 and the examination is likely to take place on 10th January 2016. But one thing which I want to make you clear that there is lots of confusion on the conduction of same examination as proposal for removal of same examination has been sent to concerned authority by UPSC due to some certain reasons. As per the latest news, UPSC SCRA examination has been removed as Indian Railways gave decision not to conduct this exam anymore. Hence from 2016, this exam will not be conducted. |
