Re: What is the eligibility and syllabus to apply for income tax officer? To become an Income tax Officer minimum required qualification is graduation degree in any discipline. After pursuing graduation you become eligible to appear for SSC CGL conducted by SSC every year. Candidates have to qualify in all three stages Tier I , Tier II, and interview for final selection for job. So, you can appear for examination. The age limit to appear for examination is 18-27 years with relaxation for reserved category. To get more information about examination visit at www.ssc.nic.in. |

You need to be graduate in order to apply for this exam. 2. Age limit is 18-27 years. Application forms are available for 2016 exam, you can apply for exam at http://www.ssc.nic.in and notification and syllabus is available at this site. |

Eligibility for Income Tax officer : >> You have to complete graduation from the recognized university with minimum percentage of marks. >> Age must be in between 21 to 28 years and there is age relaxation applicable for the reserved candidates. Syllabus for Income Tax Officer : <> High level Quant <> Reasoning <> English <> General Knowledge. Syllabus is common for all most all exams conducted by SSC. But there is difference in the type of question. |

SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission while CGL stands for Combined Graduate Level. SSC conducts examination every year for recruitment in Income Tax department and other departments in Central Government. Eligibility to appear in SSC CGL are -Candidate must have passed graduation in any stream from a recognized university -Candidate must be of age 18 to 27 years at the time of examination Students need to qualify written tests at two stages and then interview for selection. Candidates need to prepare very well in order to qualify as large number of students apply for SSC SGL every year. Students not only need to labor hard but also they should be smart enough to study only syllabus and must practice more to increase speed and accuracy which is most important in such examinations. |

CGL examination is conducted by SSC every year. CGL examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates in government jobs. The eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed graduation in any discipline from a recognised university. The age limit to appear for examination is 18-27 years with relaxation in age for reserved category. The application for examination is available now. A candidate must have completed graduation from recognised University in any discipline with minimum 50% marks and 45% for reserved categories. Age limit should be in between 21 to 30 years and relaxation is given to reserved categories in upper age limit as per government rules. |

The eligibility criteria for this exam is bachelor's degree from a recognized university. The age limit is 18-27 years with upper age relaxations applicable to candidates of reserved category. The candidates have to appear CGL i.e (Combined graduation Level) exam which is conducted thorugh SSC (Staff Selection Commission). The eligibility criteria : The candidates should be a graduate in any disicipline .. The Age limit : Age limit: 21-30 years ,for OBC: 21-33 years ,& for SC/ST: 21-35 years. |
