HELLO THIS IS VIDHYA I AM NOW ACQUIRING MY GRADUATION WITH POLITICAL SCIENCE
BUT I HAVE A DOUBT WHEATHER I CAN APPLY FOR IFS (INDIAN FOREIGN SERVICE EXAMS)
PLEASE ALSO LET ME KNOW THAT IF THERE ARE ANY PHYSICAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IT?

IFS exan is conducted by the Upsc every year as Civil Service examination.

The basic eligibility criteria for this exam is, to have a graduation degree course in any field from a recognised university with good percentages.

The age of appearing students must be lie in between 21 years to 32 years.There is relaxation by 5 years for the SC/ST and 3 years for the Obc category students.

As you are telling That you have completed your bachelor degree as BSc so definitely you can appear in this exam.

I would like to know how can we start the preparation for IFS(Indian foreign service) from eleventh standard onwards. I have opted for commece stream, and my subjects are accountancy,english,mathematics,business studies and economics(including statistics).Kindly reply.

IFS stands for Indian Foreign Service.

UPSC holds a competitive examination every year in which lacs of candidates try their luck in order to get job in Indian Foreign Service (IFS).

Required Educational Qualification:-
# Bachelor degree in any discipline.
# Candidate in final year of degree are considered eligible.
# There is no need of any fixed marks/percentage in degree. Candidate just required to be pass in the graduation.

Required Age Limit:-
* 20-30 years for General category
* 20-33 years for OBC category
* 20-40 years for SC/ST category

Number of attempts permissible:-
* Only 07 attempts permissible for General category.
* Only 04 attempts fixed for OBC category
* Unlimited number of attempts permissible for SC/ST category

## IFS stands for the Indian Foreign Service. This service were specially related to the external affairs of the country inside and outside.

Preliminary Exam:
1). General Studies - 150 marks
2). Other optional Subjects - 300 marks

Hello, IFS(Indian Foreign Services)is the part of Civil Services,which is coducted by UPSC.

ELIGIBILITY:-

1.Any Graduate in any discipline from the recognized University can appear the entrance
exam CSAT.

2.You are a General candidate and 23 years old so that you are eligible for the IFS exam.

3.Attempts: You will get 7(seven) chances to clear the IFS exam.

Hi Fiend,

IFS i.e. Indian Foreign Service exam is being conducted by UPSC every year. Let us discuss little bit about Eligbility criteria to solve your query. If you have further query please free to reply back to the post.

Eligibility::
Candidates who are in between 21 to 30 years of age are eligible to write the IFS examination. Upper age bar is 30 for General candidates, 33 for OBCs and for SC or STs its 35.

But talking about Nationality. Candidates should be either
  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee as per rules specified in UPSC site.(www.upsc.co.in)

Talking about Educational Qualification:
Candidates should hold Bachelors degree with atleast one of the subjects mentioned below as main subject. Subjects are : Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology.
Candidates who have bachelors degree in Agriculture, or Engineering or Forestry are also eligible to write the exam. Granting body should be recognized according to the act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as University under section 3 of the UGC Act.

Talking about Attempts::
Candidates apppearing for the exam are allowed with 6 attempts. For OBCs, SCs and STs, its 9 attempts.

Physical Standards::
Candidates those who are applying for it should be Mentally and Physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the upsc site for the admission into IFS.

Yes, you can apply for IFS exam of UPSC as you have a Graduation degree.

For getting into IFS, you need to apply and clear CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION 2015.

This exam is divided into three parts:-

1.Preliminary
2.Mains
3.Interview.

If you want to go for IFS, then you have to score good and be within 50 rank all over India.

Yes, you are eligible for Indian Foreign Service 2015 exam.

Indian Foreign Service exam is under of Civil Service exam

Graduation degree from a recognized university are eligible for civil service exam. Final year candidates can also apply for Indian Foreign Service exam.

Age criteria :-

Minimum Age = 21 years old
Maximum Age = 30 years old

Age relaxation :-

5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates
3 years relaxation for OBC Candidates
10 years relaxation for PHC candidates
5 years relaxation for Ex-serviceman
