Can I appear in ugc net electronic science exam. I have MSC physics degree with 59% or MSC physics can only appear in csir net.
Is ugc net in electronic science is equivalent to csir net in physical science. Please guide.

If you are passed the m.sc. Physics with 55% you are eligible for the NET exam.

NET stands for National Eligiblity Test. NET exam being conducted by University Grant Commission.

The exam will be conducted for the award of junior Research Fellowship(JRF) and also for eligibility into Lectureship.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

The candidate should be complete the post graduation from any recognized university.

The candidate should have to score a minimum 55% of marks in their post graduation course in order to be eligible for this exam.

Relaxation is there in percentage of marks upto 5% for tech candidates of sc/st categories.

Age limit:

there is no upper age limit for the candidate lectureship.

But the junior research fellowship candidates the age limit should be between 19 to 28 years.

Both male and female candidates are eligible for this Net exam.

But the candidate should be citizen of india.

NET Eligibility Criteria:-

>For giving UGC NET u need to have a master Degree with minimum 55% of marks.

IF you have got 50% marks or above then yes you are eligible to give this exam.

>You can choose any subject from your master degree.UGC NET consists of three papers
A.General studies
B.Your optional paper-objective questions
C.Your optional paper-subjective questions

Age Criteria to sit for this exam:-

For junior research fellowship the maximum age should be 28 years.
For lectureship there is no upper age limit.

The best way to prepare effectively for the NET exam is to start your preparation from the first year of the Master’s course itself. As to prepare effectively for NET, join a reputed coaching class which has good success ratio for the exam.

Make sure that you develop a proper strategy and must prepare for the exam under the supervision of a qualified tutor. The coaching center will initially help you to understand the syllabus for the exam.
