Any Graduate from Indian recognized University can apply for UPSC Exams like IAS, IPS, etc. But to get that exam successfully one should have proper guidance and coaching. Contact Lakshya Institute in Vizag to get proper guidance.

Re: Can I become an IAS, IFS if I am a medical student?

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service and IFS stands for Indian Forest Service.

Both are popular civil services in India.

The minimum academic qualification that is required for you in order to make entry into any of these is by completion of Graduation.

No minimum percentage of marks are required for the candidates in Graduation.

For IAS, you have to get through civil services exam and for IFS, you have to get through IFS Exam.

The final phase of selection procedure is Interview.

You should possess the following age in order to apply for the written exam.

21-30 years of age for the candidates of General category.
Relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category.
Relaxation in upper age limit upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category.

If you have completed your Medicine, then you are eligible to apply for both the exams.

Choose the one which you are more interested and have good preparation for the same.

Wish you all the best.
