Re: What should I do to pursue my goal on fashion designing after completion of 10th standard? I would like to suggest you to complete your class 12th from recognised board in any discipline with minimum 50% marks to pursue bachelor degree course in fashion designing or Fashion Technology from recognised University of our country. You have to qualify the entrance exam such as NIFT, SOFT etc. |

You should first complete your 12th after that you can opt for Bachelors degree in Design (B.Des)(Fashion Design) to become a fashion designer . Admission to this course in most of the institutes are carried out through written test, situation test, group discussion and interview. Eligibility criteria for admission to the course is 12th examination in the 10+2 pattern with 50% marks from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination. Some of the institutes in which you can opt for this course are : National institute of Fashion technology (NIFT). National Institute of Design (NID). International Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi (IIFT). IEC School of Art and Fashion, New Delhi. Indian Institute of Art and Fashion Technology (IIAFT), Mumbai. NIFT stands for National Institute of Fashion Technology. After qualifying examination you get admission according to your marks. Here are also some other options like you can pursue fashion designing after graduation also. Various short term as well as long term courses are available. you can check all this and select them as per your choice. |
