Re: Admission Process of Ph.D. in English in Delhi University Hi..I have done my BA English from Delhi University and recently completed my MA English from Indira Gandhi National Open University where I have scored 58% in my MA. I am a foreigner. Can I get admission in Delhi University for PHD in English? And what are the procedures? Thanks |

For admission in Delhi University, you will have to go through two stages - 1. Written test. 2. Interview. However, if you are a DU student, then only interview will be taken. Re: Admission Process of Ph.D. in English in Delhi University If you have secured 55% or above in M.A. from any UGC-recognized university, you can apply for the entrance exam for Ph.D. in Delhi University. To know about the time of applying, visit the website www.englishdu.ac.in regularly. The entrance exam will be followed by a personal interview and next, a course work of six months. In the exam of the course work you have to secure 60% marks in order to be registered as a Ph.D. scholar. Only then you can start your Ph.D. works under the supervision of a professor in Delhi University. Best of luck! |

If you want a P.Hd seat in Delhi university, if you have the national fellowship then you have to apply directly for P.Hd seat or else you have to go through entrance exam which will be conducted by Delhi University. For more details please visit the official website of Delhi university. "www.delhi-university.in" If you want to join in JNU(Jawaharlal Nehru University) then you have to join either on the basis of viva-voce or written exam or both. In most cases, the admission is through an Entrance Examination (with your 50% marks in MA, you are certainly eligible to sit in these entrance exams).
