Yes, you can take any stream you want.. I.A.S exam exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year. Qualification:- Pass graduation with any stream fron recginiced university. Re: Can I choose Commerce subject for preparation of IAS exam? IAS Eligibility : 1. You should be a graduate in ANY discipline. Science, Commerce or Arts stream doesn't matter. 2. Your age should be between 21- 30 years for General, 21-33 years for OBC, and 21-35 years for the SC, ST categories respectively. Since you want to choose commerce, I must tell you that yes you can choose it, as stream doesn't play any role in the IAS exam eligibility criteria. All the best. |

I will try to give you rough idea about the syllabus of commerce (for main examination). hope this information will be beneficial to you . Paper-I Accounting & Finance part 1 a)Accounting, Taxation & Auditing Financial Accounting b)Cost Accounting c)Taxation d)Auditing Part-II Business Finance and Financial Institutions. Paper-II Organisation Theory and Industrial Relations part 1 a)Organisation Theory part-II a)Industrial Relations. b)Theories of Unionism.
