Re: What is the basic qualification to join LLB?

There are two LLB courses that are currently recognized by the Bar Council of India. First one is integrated LLB course which has duration of 5 years and LLB course which has duration of 3 years.

The integrated LLB course also known as BA LLB can be pursued after completing 12th while the LLB course can be taken up only after completing graduation course.

On merit there is no difference between two courses. BA LLB course just allows you to pursue Law degree after completing 12th. BA LLB has course from a graduation course and LLB.

BA LLB Eligibility

1. You should have completed 12th standard.

2. At least 45 percent marks are required.

3. SC and ST need minimum of 40 percent marks.

4. Your age should be less than 20 years to apply.

5. SC and ST should be less than 22 years to apply.

6. There is no relaxation for OBC.

If you meet the criteria then apply for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for admission. Please remember that you should have completed 12th and must be able to submit the proof at the time to applying for CLAT.

LLB Eligibility

1. Candidate should be graduation degree holder.

2. Minimum of 45 percent marks in graduation.

3. SC and ST need 40 percent marks.

4. The maximum age limit is 30 years.

5. There is upto 5 years relaxation for SC and ST.

Re: What is the basic qualification to join LLB?

Hi Aspirant

For the llb course you can apply after completing your 12th class as well as after completing your graduation degree too but their will be just little change happens in the criteria and qualifications.

If you want to go for the course just after 12th than you have to write the entrance exam for it means the clat exam which is conducting every year and you will get entry in the course after clearing the exam.

For the clat exam you just need a 12th pass certificate from a recognized board and you should be pass in 12th with 50% marks.

Also for the exam you age should not be more than 20 years as this is new guidelines from the bar council of India that after 12th class llb course the candidates age should not be more than 20 years.

Also for the graduate level entry you just need a graduation degree from a recognized Indian university and also you marks in graduation should 45%.

The age limit for the graduate level entry in llb is that the candidate age should not be more than 30 years.

Best of luck

Re: What is the basic qualification to join LLB?

Hi
You have two options through which you can take admission in ll.b, one after 12th and one after graduation.
If you want to do it after your 12th. Then you should be having the following criteria, you should be.having a minimum of 45% marks in your class 12th n you can be of any stream. For joining the l.lb after 12th, the course is for 5 years. You can also join it after your graduation also, if you join it after graduation then the course would be of 3 years only.
For joining the llb after 12th, you need to give the common law admission test.
Gud luck
