Block Development Officer(BDO) exam is conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission.The main tasks of these officers is to :

To apply for this exam,you will required to meet these Eligibility conditions :


Educational qualification :
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 3 year's bachelor degree in any stream.
  • Candidates Bachelor degree should be from state university of Kerala.
Essential Qualification :
  • Candidates should be able to read,Write and speak in Kannada/Other regional language of Kerala.
  • Candidates should have the Knowledge of working with Microsoft Office and use of Internet.
Marks required :
  • Candidates who belong from the General category should have a minimum of 55% marks in Bachelor degree course.
  • Candidates who belong from the Reserved category should have a minimum of 50% marks in Bachelor degree course.
Age Required :
  • Candidates minimum age should be 18 years.
  • Candidates age should not be above 35 years.
Exam Pattern for BDO
  1. Total number of sections from which questions will be asked is 7.
  2. Total number of questions will be 200.
  3. Total duration of this exam will be 3 hours.
  4. Total marks for this exam will be 400.
Exam Syllabus for BDO
  • Rural/Social/Community Development.
  • Jurisdiction and Function of Local self Government.
  • Schemes and Current Government Policies on Development.
  • Indian Economy and Budget.
  • General Knowledge and Computer Awareness.
  • Current Affairs.
  • Mental ability and Reasoning.
  • Statistics and Data Sufficiency.
  • English Comprehension.

BDO stands for Block Development Officers and they are recruited by the state government.

Every state public service commission is responsible for recruitment of BDOs of various places of the state.

Qualification Required:

Must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.

Age Required:

Should be between 21 to 30 years and age relaxation can be availed if you belong to reserved category.

Selection Criteria:

The selection is based on merit and you have to perform well in the examination.

-Written Exam

-Interview

Hence if you have the qualification then start preparing for the examination.
