To appear in Joint Entrance Test a candidate must have passed class XII with physics, chemistry and mathematics with minimum 50% marks from recognised board. Minimum age should not be less than 17.
Only three consecutive chances are given to the students to appear in the entrance exam.

IIT JEE stands for Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination.

JEE examination is conducted in two stages as Mains and Advanced. Candidates qualifying in both stages of examination are eligible for admission in IIT.

The total number of attempts to appear for examination is :-

Mains ---3.

Advanced ---2.

If you have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics with above 50% marks, then you are eligible for IIT JEE entrance exam. 5% marks relaxation is provided for SC/ST category candidates.

Your age should be in between 17 to 25 years.

IIT JEE is a National level entrance examination which is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education for offering admission to interested candidates in Engineering programs at IITs and other top institutions.

JEE has two parts namely JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Through JEE Main examination score and rank, you can get admission in NITs and to get admission in IITs, you must have to appear in JEE Advanced examination.

Candidates who have passed 12th standard with PCM stream from a Government recognised board are eligible to appear in JEE Main examination. Candidates who have qualified and secured top 1,50,000 rank including all categories in JEE Main examination are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination.

You can appear in JEE Main examination maximum three times and in JEE Advanced examination maximum two times in consecutive years after completion of your 12th standard.
