NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.

Eligibility criteria for NEET exam:

1. You must have your 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Minimum of 50% marks is needed in 10+2 to apply for NEET exam.

2. Your age on 31st December, 2017 must be minimum of 17 years. As per your date of birth, you will be 17 years old on 6th July, 2017 and so you are eligible for NEET 2017 exam.

To appear in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test if a candidate must have attained the age of 17 in the month of December in which year the candidate appears in the exam. Where as there is no relaxation in lower age limit given to the candidates of reserved categories. Relaxation is given to the candidates of reserved categories in upper age limit.

NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and it is a common national level entrance examination held for admission in undergraduate medical courses i.e; MBBS and BDS in various government medical college across India.

--> The basic qualification required for appearing in the same examination are as here under :-

* You must have the nationality of India with your age lying within 17 years to 25 years by the 31st December of that year in which you will seek admission in your undergraduate degree course.

* You must have completed your higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate ( for SC/ST candidates marks must be atleast 40% ) from a recognized university.

So being born on 6th July 2000 and looking to appear in NEET 2017, you are eligible for NEET 2017 as your age lie above 17 years by the 31st December 2017.

To be eligible to appear in NEET 2017 examination, you should have attained the minimum age of 17 years as on 31st December, 2017.

You should have completed 12th standard or an equivalent course with PCB stream from a recognised board to be eligible to appear in NEET examination.

Since, you was born on 06th April 2000, you will be 17 years 8 months old as on 31st December, 2017, so, you are eligible to appear in NEET 2017 examination.

You are eligible to appear for NEET Exam 2017.

According to eligibility criteria of this exam,
  • You must have attained an age of 17 years on 31st December of the admission year.
  • Since, you will be taking admission in 2017, so your age will be 17 years.
  • Hence, you are eligible for appearing in NEET Exam.
  • Additionally,
  • You must have secured at least 50% marks in PCB.
  • 5% relaxation is given to general PH candidates.
  • And, 10% relaxation is given to SC/ST/OBC candidates.

Well actually my date of birth is 06-07-2000. So, please tell me that whether can i give NEET in the upcoming year 2017 or not?
