Re: Is it necessary to take up science in order to become a commercial pilot? hi,,, necessary to take up science in order to become a commercial pilot 1.After this you need to acquire a student pilot license (SPL), after getting SPL you need to have PPL(private pilot license) to become Commercial pilot. 2.Only such candidates are eligible to become a commercial pilot 3.To become a commercial pilot you need to have science stream with physics, chemistry, mathematics at 10+2 level with 60%. name of the univ. are------- 4.Ludhiana Aviation Club 5.Flytech Aviation Academy 6.West Bengal Flying Training Institute 7.Sahara India Aviation Academ 8.Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi 9.Chimes Aviation Academy all the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

HI DEAR, Yes it is the basic requirement.for getting individual should be 10+2 with physics and math 50% marks in Physics and Maths. The applicant should have completed 17 years of age.for being the pilot candidate should attained the SPL (STUDENT PILOT LICENCE) after stipulated hours of flying.after that PPL and after that CPL.there are many training institute in india. For this you can join DGCA approved flying schools throughout the country. |

Re: Is it necessary to take up science in order to become a commercial pilot? yes dear ! mustafa mulla it is cumpolsary to take science after 12 th to become a pilot.Remember 1 thing that your maths should be strong as it has lot of algebrse and trignometry.If u deserves this level you could jump into it without hesitation.other thing is that you should be financially much strong. |

SO yes you need to take science for pilot... They need to clear the entrance test exam of the flying schools in India, they also need to clear the physical fitness (Which is tough one). Only totally fit person can get opportunity to get admission in flying schools. |

Especially Physics and Mathematics should be amongst the subjects studied. You should have secured at least 60% in the same. Before taking up the stream be sure that you are interested in the same. This is important as it will help you to reach the heights that you desire. |
