You can apply for AFCAT Ground Duty Branch if you are a B.A Graduate and it will be your only option to join Air Force as Officer. You are not eligible for Air Force through CDS Examination but you can definitely apply for CDS if you want to join Indian Army.

AFCAT exams are conducted by the Indian Air Force .

This Exam is conducted by IAF to fill seats in the below branches or wings of IAF:
Flying Branch
Technical Branch
Ground Duty Branch

Eligibilty for the Flying Branch:-

Education- Graduates in any stream with Minimum 60% marks and should have studies the subjects Physics and Maths in class 12th or BE/BTECH Pass with minimum 60% marks

Age- between 19 to 23 years

Minimum Height- 162.5 cms
Minimum Leg Length - 99 cms
Maximum Leg Length - 120 cms

Eligibilty for Ground Duty Branch:-

Bachelor's degree Pass with 60% marks or a Post Graduation degree with minimum 50% of marks for Administration & Logistics Branch.

For Accounts- B.Com with 60% of marks or M.Com with 50% of marks

Your age should be between 20 and 27 years.

AFCAT Exam Eligibility:

This exam conducted by the Indian Air force.

And this is consist three main Branches

Flying Branch

Technical Branch

Ground Duty Branch

Flying Branch:

You should Bachelors Degree from recognized University.

You need min 60% of marks in Degree.

You need the Physics & Mathematics subjects are compulsory.

Your age limit should be between 19 to 23 years.

Technical Branch:

You should have complete the Aeronautical Engineering.

You should have min 60% of marks.

And your age limit should be between 18 to 28 years.

Ground Duty Branch:

You need to complete the Bachelor Degree from recognized University.

You need min 60% of marks in degree.

or you need post Graduation with 50% of marks.

And you should complete the B.com with 60% of marks.

Sir, I am MBA student and going to appear December AFCAT 2013, my birth-date is 15 November 1988, till July 2014 i will be 25 yrs and and SOME FEW MONTHS complete so am I eligible for AFCAT JAN 2013-2014??

Only Diploma holders are not eligible for AFCAT.

Only graduates or final year in graduation students can apply.

If you are a diploma holder only and have not done graduation then sorry to inform, but you can not apply.

The courses for which one can apply are:

-Flying Branch
-Technical Branch
-Ground Duty Branches

In case of Flying Branch, your educational qualification should be B.E/B.Tech degree or graduate in any disciplane with the minimum 60% and age should be 19 - 23 yrs.

In case of Technical Branch, the educational qualification is aeronautical engineering with minimum 60%marks and age should be 18 - 28 yrs.

In case of Ground Duty Branch, your educational qualification should be post graduate or bachelor degree in any subject with at least 60% and age should be 20 - 27 yrs.

If you does not fulfil the above criteria, you can not apply.

My friend AFCAT exam is conducted by IAF..

Eligibility for AFCAT exam:-

1.Flying branch :-

Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade, but must have maths and physics in 12th..

Candidates age should be in between 19-23 years.

2.Technical branch:-

Candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering field.

Age should be in between 18-28 years.

3.Ground duty branch:-

Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade.

Age should be in between 20-27 years.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill..

As you have done diploma then wright now you are not eligible , you first go for BE/B.tech course after which you can apply for AFCAT exam.

If you have not completed your graduation then you are not eligible to apply for the Air force common admission Test. The AFCAT examination is conducted by the Indian Air twice in a year for the selection of candidates as an officer in various branches of Indian Air force like

FLYING BRANCH

GROUND DUTY BRANCH

TECHNICAL BRANCH

Candidates having degree in engineering are only eligible for the flying branch. Candidates of other degree courses are only eligible to apply for the flying branch and the ground duty branch. They are not eligible to apply for the Technical branch.

Candidates who are in pre final year of engineering are also eligible to apply for the Air force common admission test. They can apply through University Entry Scheme. The UES is only for the pre final year students of engineering. Final year students are not eligible for this entry scheme.
