Is ISRO is Only for non-medical students with maths, I m a medical student and I really wanted to give ISRO but maths is not my subject what should I do??

you have to follow the syllabus of GATE exam 2016 because there is no specific syllabus mentioned..

Gate 2016 mechanical engineering

Electromagnetism by William Hyatt

Power Electronics by Rashid

Control System by Nagrath Gopal

Maths by BS Grewal

Communication Engineering by BP Lathi


Syllabus:

There is no specific syllabus mentioned in the ISRO website. But generally the syllabus of Graduate Aptitude test in engineering is the best suited syllabus for ISRO written exam.

ISRO is the Indian space Research Organization which conducts the recruitment for various branches of study and the Engineering graduates are eligible to the Scientist or Engineers vacancies

The Branches that are eligible to appear for ISRO SC recruitment are
  1. Computer Science
  2. Electrical Engineering
  3. Electronics and Communication
  4. Mechanical
  5. Instrumentation

The examination will be conducted in written format with 80 bits and which has 90 min of time and after the qualifying of the written test you will be short listed for the Interview round

  • Computer Organization
  • Software Systems Data Structres
  • Programming Methodology
  • Algorithms for Problem solving
  • Compiler Design
  • Operating Systems
  • Database and Relational Model

the syllabus is same as the GATE exam syllabus and you can also refer your GATE examination books only for the preparation of the SC recruitment by ISRO

For Mechanical Engineering :
Advanced Thermodynamics Advanced Heat Transfer Instrumentation of Thermal Systems Applied Mathematics for Thermal Engineers

For Civil Engineering : Surveying Structural Engineering Transportation Engineering Geo technical Engineering Engineering Mathematics Environmental Engineering etc.

For Computer Science Engineering : Number Systems. Data representation, Programming; Elements of a high level programming language PASCAL/C , Fundamentals of computer architecture, Processor design, Control unit design, Memory organization, Microprocessors

For Electronics & Communication Engineering :
Network Theory, Signal & System, Radar system, Micro-wave communication, Power electronics, Electrical engineering, Digital electronics, Analog & Digital communication, Control System.

Note : Please mention the name of your branch so that we can provide you some notes and last year question paper. Also we can give you some study material which will help a lot. So please ask one more question along with your branch details.
