And due to some circumstances it takes 6 yrs to complete my degree. My DOB is 24/11/1989. I want to ask, am I eligible for CDS and AFCAT.. CAN I Join Indian Air Force as an mechanical engineer. Re: How to join Indian Air Force after doing Mechanical engineering Soon after the completion of your Mechanical Engineering, you are eligible to join Indian Air Force. Here is the complete information regarding that. The candidates have to crack CDS (Combined Defence Services) Exam being conducted by UPSC twice in a year. The selection procedure would involve Written Exam Interview This is the common written exam for the candidates to be placed in various Defence services like Indian Military Academy Indian Naval Academy Air Force Academy Officers Training Academy. Here is the eligibility criteria for CDS Exam. Candidates should have completed Graduation with any of the stream but it is mandatory that the candidates should have gone through Mathematics and Physics as compulsory at 10+2 level. Even the candidates who have completed Graduation in Engineering are eligible to apply. The required age criteria should be 19-22 years. There is no relaxation in upper age limit for the candidates of any category. As per academic qualification you are eligible. If you have above mentioned age criteria, then I suggest you to apply for this Exam. For this academic year, CDS I Exam was over. CDS II Exam notification will be released on 19-07-2014. Meanwhile you can have good preparation for this Exam. Wish you all the best. |
