I am 38yr. old and having b.a. b.fa and persuing m.a. in english litreture ,n having a good experience in marketing in different sector,(3yr. in automobile field as crm,hr manager,showroom development manager,2yr. in an ngo project slum area women health care,and many other experience) can i expect an assistant manager job at tea garden ? if yes than plz provide me the whole process for how to apply?

Yes you can become a tea estate manager if you are an art student. the minimum educational qualification is graduation in any stream along with a field experience.

TEA ESTATE MANAGER


A tea estate manager is one point contact for everyone involved in the tea garden. his area of activity encompasses production management , tea husbandry , involving plant physiology , entomology , industrial relation and many more

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION


> graduation in any stream + work experience in the field.

> degree in agricultural science or b.sc in botany , food sciences , horticulture or allied field is preferred.

> candidate who have specialized in marketing or business management are recruited for marketing job.


AGE LIMITATION ~ 21 - 30 YRS.

SALARY


1. Assistance manager - 4 lakhs a year

2.senior assistance manager - 7 lakhs a year

3.deputy manager - 8- 9 lakhs a year

4. manager - 12 - 15 lakhs a year

5. general manager - 17 lakhs a year


SKILL NEEDED


1. knowledge of the tea market

2.knowledge of labour laws

3.good communication skill

4.good leadership quality

5.good knowledge of topography of tea estate

6. presence of mind , quick thinking , courage to face and settle labour disputes .


PROS AND CONS


1. a sense of pride when indulge with a good tea brand

2. takes lots of time to become a manager around 16 - 20 yrs.

3.can'nt work on any other fields of work .

4. looking after tea garden , labours is a demanding task a risky at times

5. good salary package , managers can earn upto 1 lac a month and more depending on their experience and other factors.
