Yes,B.ED is necessary for PGT. B.ED course will make you eligible for TGT as well as PGT that means graduation for a post graduation you can teach classes from 6 to 12 if you have B.ED degree.

***Yes, B.Ed.is necessary alongwith PG degree for PGT exam . You will be eligible for PGT after having B.Ed. degree. -The candidate must have passed post graduation degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks from a recognized university .

B.Ed is compulsory along with post graduation to apply for PGT.

PGT Eligibility
- One should possess post graduation qualification along with B.Ed with at least 50% from a recognized university.
- Upper age limit is 40 years. Relaxation is given as per government norms.

Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) Eligibility

Master's Degree from a recognized university with atleast 50% marks in aggregate in the main subject
OR
B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
Proficiency in Teaching in Hindi and English medium.
Note: Candidates having special B.Ed are not eligible for the post of PGT.

Upper limit age is 40 years

Those candidate who are having B.ED degree or any other Teacher Training Certificate after Graduation they are called as Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT). They are eligible to teach in junior classes in school.

Those candidates having a Teacher Training Certificate or B.ED degree after Post Graduation they are called as Post Graduate trained Teacher (PGT). They are eligible to teach in senior classes in school.

So, coming to your question what is necessary B.ED or BTC? as you have mentioned that you have completed your Master's degree so I would suggest you to go for B.ED degree. B.ED degree is a must degree for becoming teacher in a good school of India. After completion of B.ED degree you would be known as PGT (Post Graduate teacher).

Yes, B.Ed.is necessary alongwith PG degree for PGT exam .

You will be eligible for PGT after having B.Ed. degree.

PGT stands for Post Graduate Teachers.

The eligibility criteria for PGT exam are as under :-

-The candidate must have passed post graduation degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks from a recognized university .

-The candidate must possess B.Ed degree along with the PG degree .

-The age of candidate should be in between 28 years to 40 years. There is relaxation in upper age limit for OBC candidate by 3 years and 5 years for SC/ST candidates .

Selection of candidate is carried out on the basis of their performance in written test and interview .
