Minimum Physical Standard: i) For Male Candidates: Height-1.67 mtrs. Weight-51.5 Kgs Chest-79 cms with a minimum expansion of 5 cms ii) For Female Candidates:- Height-1.60 mtrs. Weight- 45 Kgs iii) Vision : Eye-sight ( with or without glasses ) Distant vision : 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye. Near vision 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye. |

Re: Height required to be eligible for SI post Information regarding height for the post of Sub Inspector are as under:- Height:- For General candidates it is 170 cm 157 cm. For SC/ST candidates it is 162.5 cm 154 cm. Chest:- General candidates- 80 cm 5 cm expended. SC/ST candidates- 77 cm 5 cm expended. |

Reserved category candidate Male = 162.5 cms Female = 154 cms => CHEST 1. General Category candidate = 80 cms 5 cms Expended 2. Reserved category candidate = 77 cms 5 cms Expended => RACE 1. General Category candidate = 100 meter in 16 second 2. Reserved category candidate = 1.6 Kms in 6.5 Minutes |

Re: Height required to be eligible for SI post The minimum height required for the SI post is :- For Male :- General - 170 cms ST - 162.5 cms Hilly areas - 165 cms For Female :- General - 157 cms ST - 154 cms Hilly areas - 155 cms There is a relaxation in height for hilly areas candidates. |

Re: Height required to be eligible for SI post Qualifications needed for being a Sub Inspector : Educational qualification : Candidates must have completed bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized university. Age limit : Age of candidates should be in between 20 to 25 years. Physical standard : Minimum height should be 170 cms Chest should be 80 cms Thanks |
