indian engineering service(IES) exam is conducted by UPSC every year
for which the eligibility criteria is as;
qualification
- a candidate should be engineering graduate from any

-Civil Engineering
-Mechanical Engineering
-or equivalent degree from recognized universities.

Yes ofcourse you can apply for IES.

IES is for four streams mainly, though students from other engineering branches can also apply:

Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Electronics and Communication.

So IES is one of the best exam for students of these four branches.

You can also apply while pursuing your final year of engineering.

The only eligibility criteria is a graduate in engineering from any recognized university.
Final year students can also apply.

And the age should be between 21 to 30 years.

Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and PWD candidates are there according to Government rule.

Yes friend,
You can go for IES examination.

It has some limited stream.But you are one of them.

But you should have this criteria :

You must have a graduate degree with minimum 50% marks.

Yes you are eligible to apply for IES examination. The examination was conducted by UPSC every year and the notification of this examination was published in the employment newspaper Or in the official website of UPSC.

Eligiblity Criteria-

To appear in this examination, you need a degree or equivalent degree from recognized universities in - Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communications Engineering, Civil Engineering and in Mechanical Engineering.

M.Sc Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as a special subject also acceptable for certain posts.

Candiadtes of Final year Engineering or equivalent degree are also eligible to apply for this examination.

Age eligiblity criteria -

To apply for this examination, your age should between 21 to 30 years.

If you are a civil engineering student than you are eligible for IES exam.Its a

very good option for you after engineering.One thing is that you should have

complete your engineering first.

IES exam only for some core branches so only some branch students can give

IES exam.

These are following

MECHENICAL ENGINEERING

CIVIL ENGINEERING

ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

ELECTROINCS AND COMMUNICATION

So this is the main requirments for IES exam.You are one of them who are

eligible for IES exam.

I.E.S stands for { Indian Engineering Service }. the exam of the I.E.S conducted by the upsc union public service commission

The candidate should be qualified in degree with engineering course { ie :civil engineering , mechanical engineering , electrical engineering ,and telecommunication engineering } from recognized university are eligible to apply for the ies examination .

Age limit of candidate :


The candidate should be 21 to 30 years and upper age relaxation is given to sc/st for 5 years and obc candidates for 3 years .and 10 years for handicapped and widow , ex-service man .

Last date of receipt : 7th February

Date fo examination : 14 May 2011

Eligibility criteria for IES examination:

IES Exam (Indian Engineering services) is going to be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

Here is the eligibility criteria for IES exam.

Academic qualification :
-One should have completed engineering in any of the following branches.
-Electrical engineering
-Electronics and communications engineering
-Civil engineering
-Mechanical engineering

-Candidates who have appeared for the final year of their B.Tech exams are also eligible.

Age criteria :

To be eligible for the Engineering Service Exam, conducted by UPSC, you need to hold a degree in engineering.
The age limit for the exam is 21-30 years.
The maximum age limit is relaxed upto 5 years for SC/ST category and 3 years for OBC.

Indian Engineering Services (IES) exam is a competitive examination for selecting
engineers for Government of India抯 engineering organizations, such as Indian Railway
Service of Engineers (IRSE), Central Engineering Service (CES), Military Engineering
Services (IDSE) etc.

Yes you are eligible to apply for IES examination..It is conducted by UPSC every
years.This year the date of IES exam is : 14.05.2011 (3 days exam).But sorry to
say you can not appear for this exam this year as the last date to apply for exam
was 24.01.2011 (Mon).


Eligibility criteria:

You must posses Degree in following branches :

Electrical Engineering
Electronics & Communications Engineering
Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
