Re: Eligibility for MCA: no maths in 12th but computer science in 12th Dear friend, it is not possible to apply for mca without having maths in 12th in some of the institutes in india. Eligibility criteria: The mca course pre-requisites demand that the student entering mca must be -a graduate in any discipline with mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or at graduation, with 5o% (45% in case of backward class candidate aggregate in graduation. -some institutes even restrict it to a first class maths graduate. Actually i m doing bca n here i have studied 2 year mathematics,but when i checked the criteria for mca in such colleges i found maths necessary as a subject in 12th. so plz tell me whether i apply for such university without having maths at 12th level. |

Probably, many institutes conduct direct admissions for the MCA course based on the choice of subjects in the 10+2, which includes Computer Science / Informatics Practices / Maths / Biology. So although you might not attempt the MCA exams, you can get into the MCA course. |

Re: Eligibility for MCA: no maths in 12th but computer science in 12th To take admission you Should be a pass in any recognized Bachelor's Degree of minimum 3 year's duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or should have passed the Bachelor's Degree with a subject of MATHS but maths should be there either in graduation level or +2 level.... so for MCA maths is compulsory..so if you donot had it in +2 level but it must be in your graduation level.. |

Because to get admission in MCA YOU have to select the Maths Subject in your 12th Class. But, if you have a CS In your 12th exams, then yu are eligible for MCA. Because Manny colleges, requires either Maths OR CS in your 12th exams. So, dont worry you are eligible for MCA. But you will get Direct admission Because if you want to appear in MCA Entrance exams, then for this Maths is compulsory. So, you are not eligible for appear in MCA Entrance exams. But you will get direct admission in Manny colleges. So, please Find and contact such colleges, if you want to got admission in MCA. |

But I would suggest you to persue courses offered by DOEACC society such as O , A level they individually can make you eligible for MCA or by doing B level course you will be equal to MCA degree holder. This is a good news for you!!!!!!!!!!! |
