Re: How to take admission in Merchant Navy or Orissa? Eligibility Criteria for Admission in Merchant Navy in Orissa are as Following:- 1. Candidates who possessed 10th or 12th Degree from recognized State School Board or Council with minimum 40% Aggregated marks are eligible. 2.Candidates age should be between 17.5 to 25 Years. 3.Candidates must be Physically as well as Mentally Fit for admission . 4. Candidates will be select for admission on the basis of written ,oral test followed by Medical Test. 5. Candidates Height should be 158 cm & weight should be minimum 48 kg for admission .  1] Half of our training is inside the Port. Practical is carried on ships and on different type of watercraft. 2] Students are exposed to real job situations. 3] Our fees are less because we are a charitable and non-profit making body. 4] We manage with the help of Government of Orissa and Paradip Port Trust. 5] Our aim is to train economically backward students from rural and remote areas. Eligibility criteria to take admission in Marine Navy in Orrisa :- 1] The candidate must be scored 40% aggregate in 10th class from recognized board. 2] The candidate must be scored 40% aggregate in 12th class from any recognized board. 3] The age limit of the candidate must be between 17½ to 25 years. 4] The candidate must be physically as well as mentally fit. Selection procedure for admission :- >> Written exam >> Oral test >> Medical test '>> Eyesight should be 6 / 6 with normal vision >>height – 158 cm (minimum), >> weight – 48 kg. (minimum ).
