Re: Is maths necessary for studying nanotechnology ?

Yes,Maths and physics is necessary for nanotechnology course. Because many concepts in nanotechnology are related with maths and physics. It is a very good course and then you have a great and bright future. Best of luck

Re: Is maths necessary for studying nanotechnology ?

Yes you can apply for Nanotechnology with PCB as your 12th subjects.

But all colleges does not consider PCB for nanotechnology.

Institutes like Amity considers both PCB and PCM.

It demands minimum 60% aggregate in Class X & XII in PCM/PCB.

Re: Is maths necessary for studying nanotechnology ?

Nanotechnology is basically one kind of engineering study based on molecular science and techniques...

So i think one must have maths in 10(+2) level to study further in nanotechnology..

Re: Is maths necessary for studying nanotechnology ?

Yes Math is very necessary as you have to consider and do MICROSTUDY of molecules and atoms and you can only do this by Complex Analysis ,Differential Eq. and Calculus and mind you they are very interseting.

Re: Is maths necessary for studying nanotechnology ?

As nanotechnology is one of the emerging fields of engineering only its really incomplete without maths and can't imagine without maths.
So if really ibnterested in it you must study maths.

Re: Is maths necessary for studying nanotechnology ?

Yes definately its necessary. as its an engineering field so ofcourse it will have some maths in it. So dont develop a maths phobia. You will enjoy maths if you study it religiously.

To get nanotechnology you will have to answer few entrance exam for which Maths is necessary and compulsory.

Re: Is maths necessary for studying nanotechnology ?

Dear friend,
to study Nanotechnology you have to appear in JEE exam of engineering.and to appear in this type of exam you the eligibility criteria is you sholud have a combination of PCM(Physics,Chemistry,Maths) at the 12th level.so yes maths is necesary for stydying nanotechnology.

Re: Is maths necessary for studying nanotechnology ?

Yes you can get entry in nanotechnology by having PCB.But you have to study maths in nanotechnology and students who done PCM they have to study Biology. So it is equally difficult for both the streams. You have to study maths or biology in nanotechnology.
But you have to give different entrance exams.

Re: Is maths necessary for studying nanotechnology ?

hello dear

see, for studying nanotechnology you have to appear in JEE test.

for engineering test, you should have PCM combination.

so you are eligiable to do course in nanotechnology.

so it will be better to do diploma oriented courses after your 12th.

all the best............
