Re: What is the qualification required to apply for IAS job? The full form of IAS is Indian Administrative Services. UPSC conducts Civil Services examination every year for different services like IAS, IPS, IRS etc. You just need to fulfill following eligibility criteria for UPSC exam: 1. You must be bachelor's degree passed or in final year of bachelor's degree to apply for this examination. 2. Age limit for Civil Services examination is 21-32 years. There is certain upper age relaxation applicable to candidates of reserved category. |

Re: What is the qualification required to apply for IAS job? For I.A.S job candidates have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination conducted by UPSC. The eligibility to appear in examination is candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The age limit is 21-32 years with relaxation in upper age limit. No limitation on discipline of bachelor degree. The examination is conducted in three stages and candidates have to qualify in all three stages of examination for final selection. Candidates who have passed Bachelor's degree course in any discipline from a Government recognised university are eligible to apply for IAS examination. The age criteria required to apply for IAS examination is 21 to 32 years. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules. |

IAS refers to Indian Administrative Service and to be an IAS officer you need to qualify Civil Services examination which is held by UPSC once every year. *** The minimum qualifications required for appearing in Civil Services examination are as here under :- * You must have the nationality of India. * You must have either completed your graduation degree or must be in the final year same with any discipline of your choice from a recognized university. * Your age must lie within 21 years to 32 years if you are a general category otherwise there is provision of age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per the government norms. As far as you are concerned about the best course to clear Civil Services examination then in my regards the course which lies to your strength and interest is the best option for you as the same subject will seem easiest to you as compared to any other subject. Its nice that you want to become an IAS Officer as it is one of the most sought after job in India. I would like to tell you that if you are planning for IAS then you have to make sure that you meet the below mentioned eligibility criteria : - 1. Age - Minimum 21 Years Maximum - 32 years (Recently changed from 30 to 32) there are further relaxation as per the category of the candidate. 2. Nationality - Indian, Nepalese, Bhutani or migrants. 3. Education - Minimum Graduation in any subject or final year of graduation Exam Pattern - 1. Preliminary Exam 2. Mains Exam 3. Interview. It is conducted every year by Union Public Service Commission of India. Hope it will help |

You must have a degree from any of the recognized university in any discipline. You can pursue from any of the subject in any stream. There is no any particular subject required for this as well as there is no restriction in subject selection. You must have to score at least 50 percent in graduation to be eligible to apply for IAS. |

Re: What is the qualification required to apply for IAS job? To apply for IAS exam, you must have done graduation in any stream. It does not matter whether you have done B.Sc., B.Com, B.A. or B.Tech, you will be eligible for IAS Exam aka Civil Services Exam after pursuing these degree courses. You will have to crack three stages to qualify Civil Services Exam.
