In 2017, Tamil Nadu medical committee will take admission of 2172 MBBS candidates in 19 government medical colleges and 85 BDS seats. The selection of candidates will be based on the NEET Merit list. The 85% of MBBS and BDS seats arefilled through state quota NEET merit list and the rest are filled through all India quota merit list. |

The application form for Medical course is issued by the Selection Committee Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. As per the new rule there shall be no state level entrance examination for admission of medical students. Total number of MBBS seats in the 19 medical colleges of Tamil Nadu is 2172 and BDS seats in 1 dental college of TN is 85. The selection of candidates will be based on the NEET Merit list. The 85% of MBBS and BDS seats are filled through state quota NEET merit list and the rest are filled through all India quota merit list. |

After Supreme Court's direction, admission in all medical colleges of Tamil Nadu will be done basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test scorecard. Candidates will be given admission in MBBS and BDS courses according to NEET rank. In 2017, Tamil Nadu medical committee will take admission of 2172 MBBS candidates in 19 government medical colleges and 85 BDS seats. |
