Dear Friend, To join Merchant Navy after 12th you must do any of the following depending upon your interest and elligibility criteria- 1-To join as a rating after class 10th or 12th ---->Pre Sea GP Rating course ( Duration 6 months ). 2-To join in the catering department after 10th or 12th ---->Maritime Catering Course ( Duration 6 months ) ---->B.Sc in Marine Catering ( Duration 3 years ) 3-To join as Deck Officer ---->B.Sc Nautical Science ( Duration 3 years ) ---->Diploma in Nautical Science. ( Duration 2 years and after that 1 year B.Sc Nautical Science) 4-To join as an engineer ---->BE/B.Tech Marine Engineering ( Duration 4 years ). These were the posts by which you can join Merchant Navy after 12th and after graduation. Thank You. |

Re: Am I eligible to join merchant navy after completion of 12th standard? Yes, after completing 12th standard, you are eligible for Merchant Navy course. You need to qualify JEE Advanced Exam for getting admission to Merchant Navy courses. Here are the courses that you need to pursue for getting enrolled to Merchant Navy course.

Re: Am I eligible to join merchant navy after completion of 12th standard? Yes, you are eligible to join Merchant Navy after completion of your 12th standard from a Government recognised board. To be eligible to join Merchant Navy, you should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with PCM stream from a Government recognised board. You need to appear in entrance examination and qualify it to get admission for joining Merchant Navy. |
