To be eligible to pursue B.Ed course, you should have passed graduation course with minimum aggregate of 50% marks from a Government recognised university. Relaxation of 5% in marks is provided to reserved category candidates to apply for admission to B.Ed course. Admissions in B.Ed course are done through entrance examination conducted by the respective college/ university or through merit basis of graduation examination marks.

Re: What is the eligibility criteria followed for pursuing B.Ed course?

B.Ed refers to Bachelor of Education and same is a professional degree course required by those candidates who want to make their career as a teacher of secondary and higher secondary school.

The minimum educational qualification required for pursuing B.Ed degree course is a bachelor's degree in any stream with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. Marks relaxation of 5%-10% is applicable for reserved category candidates.

So as far as you are concerned about your eligibility for pursuing B.Ed degree course having completed your graduation with 48% marks then I would like to let you know that you are eligible only if you belong to reserved category as for general category candidates the minimum marks requirement in graduation is 50%.

Re: What is the eligibility criteria followed for pursuing B.Ed course?

Yes, if you will score less than 50% in bachelor degree or master degree then you are not eligible to appear in B.Ed entrance test.

The required qualification to appear in examination is that candidate must have minimum 50% in bachelor or master degree to appear in examination.

The course will be of two year duration or will be of four semester course.
