Re: Are Diploma (DLM) students eligible for IIT JEE? I am sorry to say that diploma students are not eligible for admission in IITs. This is because only 12th pass candidates can give the entrance exam to IITs. The diploma students or candidates can directly join some colleges in the 2nd year but only those which offer additional seats to diploma students in those particular streams. IIT being the most premium institute in India does not offer seats for diploma students inthe 2nd year hence a diploma student cannot get a seat in any IIT. |

Hello sir, * I am subha * I completed my Hsc on 2007 with above 70% * I completed my diploma on 2010 with 90% * Then I completed my apprentice training Bhel. * I went to job for one year * now only I have aware of jee exam. * just I know what is maximum age limit to appear for this exam. |

Minimum Qualification for IIT-JEE is 10+2 or 3 years diploma course 2. Qualifying Subjects are physics, chemistry and mathematics in 12th class 3. Minimum qualifing marks in 10+2 or diploma for General,Other Backword Class and DS categories is 60% of marks. 4. Sc,st and PD categories must secure at least 55% of marks in 10+2 or diploma 5. Age limit is in between 17 to 25 years. 6. Candidate can make only 2 attempts in a consecutive years. all the best |

Re: Are Diploma (DLM) students eligible for IIT JEE? Unfortunately the answer to your question is No. The lateral entry students are not eligible for admission in Indian Institute of Technology. It is not because you have done part time diploma degree. The Indian Institute of Technology does not accept any student for B.Tech course who has completed diploma course. The reason is the admission procedure of IIT. To get admission in IIT all candidates are required to appear for entrance exam. The name of this entrance exam was IIT-JEE which from next year will be replaced by ISEET. The crtieria to appear for entrance exam is that you must have completed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Since diploma students have not appear for 12th standard, they can not appear for entrance exam. IIT also does not offer lateral entry which gives diploma student entry into the second year of B.Tech course. These are the reasons why diploma students are not eligible for admission in IIT. The same rules also applies in National Institute of Technology (NIT). So the option for you is, any good engineering college apart from NIT and IITs. Most of the remaining engineering colleges in the country would definitely offer you admission. However you will have to appear for LEET entrance exam for which you must have scored at least 50 percent marks in diploma course. Other engineering colleges in the country do reserve some seats for the diploma students that will also you to take admission into the second year of B.Tech course. |

Dear Sir, I am apearing in final year of diploma in 2012-13 from GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC SAHARANPUR approved from UPBTE and recoznized from AICTE.My diplom score is 78%.Also I passed 12th in 2010 with P.C.M from UP BOARD.My 12th score is 67%. What I am elible for iit jee 2013 entrence exam? if elible,the entrence paper will be same for all student or diffrence? Re: Are Diploma (DLM) students eligible for IIT JEE? hi friend, JEE's eligibility is only 60% marks in 12th standard only , you havnt stated about your 12th class status, whether you persued it or not or you just followed diploma from 10th class. IITs dont take only diploma as a acceptable substitute for 12th class. Hence if you have only diploma then you are not eligible and if you took admission after 12th then you are eligible. |

Re: Are Diploma (DLM) students eligible for IIT JEE? hello friend you are elligible candidate for iitexam. selection procedure: on the basis of entrance exam so firstly fill the application forum which is available in pnb bank branch in india so application forums fees 1000rs only. pattern of exam: three section like physic,chemistry and mathematics. exam date : in the month of april second week. elligibilty: 60% marks in 10th class and have to appear in 12th class. if it is clear the term and condition fr xam so you have to call councilling to take a admission in iit college in india. so all the best |

The eligibility for IIT JEE is that the candidate should have passed (10+2) or equivalent qualifying examination in 2008 or should be appearing in 2009, and secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in the respective Board Examination.SC/ST can apply if they have minimum 55%.The candidate should not have accepted admission by paying full fees at any of the IITs. |
