Re: Eligibility for Assistant Engineer post in governemnt departments? Candidate should possess a degree B.E (Any Discipline) and also have to pass the recruitment exam. So the knowledge of the stream is very important to clear the exam. |

Those candidates who have completed engineering degree weather he is electronics and communication or electrical engineering or civil engineering or computer science engineering or information technology engineering etc. Then those candidates are applicable for any Assistant Engineering exam, but your engineering degree must be completed minimum 60% to 65% required post to post and also engineering degree must be completed recognised University with AICTE. |

In order to become assistant engineer, candidate must have completed graduation degree in engineering from a recognised University and has to qualify the exam conducted by various government departments for the various posts of assistant engineers. After completing your M..tech, you are eligible. |

The minimum eligibility criteria required to become an assistant engineer in government department is degree holder in engineering. One who has completed degree in civil engineering is given more preference than any other stream. But now a days it is very difficult to get direct government job so you have to qualify the exam related to that particular department. |
