Re: Is maths a compulsory subject for JEE?

Let me tell you that for JEE it is compulsory to have Maths as main subject.
Candidate must have Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects. Students who have opted Biology are not allowed to write this examination.

Yes, it is compulsory to have mathematics as main paper in 12th std to appear in JEE.

JEE is conducted in two stages as Main and Advanced.

Candidates passed 12th with PCB ( Physics, Chemistry and Biology ) are not eligible to appear in examination.

For JEE Main, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are the compulsory subjects.

Biology students cannot appear for JEE Main Exam.

But if they have studied from PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology) stream in 11th and 12th, then they can appear for JEE Main Exam.

After qualifying JEE Main, candidate can apply for JEE Advanced Exam.

JEE Main exam is conducted by CBSE every year while JEE Advanced is conducted jointly by IITs every year.

Is maths a compulsory subject for JEE?

There's a confusion regarding subjects as maths is compulsory subject for the course. Are the biology students eligible to give the entrance test?
