Following steps need to be taken : 1)Complete diploma in your preferred stream after 10th class with good marks. 2)Apply form for lateral entry to engineering colleges, for example, DTU,IPU takes candidate for lateral entry in various courses. 3)Prepare for the entrance test conducted by these universities, it will be the test of the subjects you had learnt in diploma 4)Result will be placed on their respective websites according to your rank you will be allotted colleges. |

First of all i want to tell you that you cannot join Mechanical graduation course just after completing 10th standard. The only thing you can do at this stage is to go for diploma course. Diploma course never considered as graduation because Graduation involves degree courses while diploma is not a degree course. You can go for degree course once you complete diploma in mechanical engineering. After that you will get admission in B.tech course of 2nd year directly by using LEET entry scheme. For getting admission in diploma after 10th standard you first of all visit to nearest College/Institute which offer diploma course. Then you need to fill an application form. After completing all formalities they will admit you in their institution. |

To join Mechanical Engineering course after completion of your 10th and Diploma course, you have to apply for lateral entry examinations like LEET or ECET or JELET which is conducted by your respective state technical board of education. Being a Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering, you are eligible to get direct admission in second year of four years Engineering course through lateral entry admission process. After qualifying the entrance examination, you have to participate in the counselling process according to your examination rank and you will be offered admission in a particular college for pursuing Mechanical Engineering course. |

Re: Procedure to join mechanical graduation course after completion of 10th and diploma course? You can join Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering through Lateral Entry Entrance Examination. LEET is conducted by State Technical board for admission of diploma candidates directly in second year of engineering. Academic qualification: Diploma candidates with minimum of 60% marks in it can apply for LEET exam. Depending upon your LEET score, you can get admission in top engineering colleges of India and select Mechanical engineering as your stream. |

Yes you can do graduation in mechanical engineering course i.e., b.tech after completing diploma in engineering course. After diploma you can directly join 2nd year b.tech as a lateral entry. 1. You must complete diploma in engineering to take admission in 2nd year of b.tech 2. There is no minimum marks percentage applicable in diploma to join 3. The age limit is 17 - 25 years. To take admission you must appear for the engineering common entrance exam like AMIE, LEET, ECET etc which are conducted either by state or central government |

Diploma candidates can apply for Joint Entrance Examination Advanced for admission in Indian Institute of Technology in Bachelor's degree in technology. It clearly means that diploma students can get admission in IITs. 2. The second examination for which you can apply for is Lateral Entry Entrance Test. For LEET exam, you must have at least 60% marks. You can apply for both of exams. In case of LEET exam, you will get direct admission in second year of engineering. |
