 Hello Friend, It is good that you will prepare for the IES Exam early as many candidates leave it late to start for this Exam and end up with shortage of time and are ill-prepared. You will need to concentrate on your B.Tech course and take it seriously as a major part of the questions in IES Exam come from there only. So grasp all the concepts of your B.Tech course. You will need to be attentive in all the subjects taught. If you can do that then you will do good in the IES Exams. The rest of the questions in the Exam come from the General Aptitude section which is relatively easier. The question pattern for the IES Exam is given below:  For the preparation you can refer top these books as these are the standard books and once you go through thse books nicely you can be sure of a good result.

Sorry, You are not eligible for IES exam because Computer Science and Information Technology branch is not eligible for the IES exam. IES exam is conducted by UPSC in every year. The eligibility criteria for IES exam is given below : Educational Qualification :- The minimum educational qualification for appear in the IES exam is Bachelor degree in any one of the following branch. ->Electrical Engineering. ->Electronics and Communication engineering. ->Civil engineering. ->Mechanical engineering. The Computer Science and IT branch are not eligible for IES exam. Age Limit :- The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appear in the examination. SC, ST, OBC and PD candidate will get age relaxation on the upper age according to government rule. So according to eligibility criteria you are not eligible for IES exam. So,You are not Eligible for Engineering Exams. If You are Interested go for Other Various Exams like IAS,IPS,IFS,CDS..... Eligibility Criteria :
